CUA Drama Presents "In Good King Charles's Golden Days"

On Oct. 16, 17, and 18, CUA's Hartke Theatre will play host to "In Good King Charles's Golden Days," a side-splitting historical "what if?" comedy by George Bernard Shaw.

The CUA Alumni Association has reserved a limited number of tickets exclusively for Catholic University alumni. These tickets are only $5 each (regularly $12), and can be purchased by visiting

On Aug. 30, 2008, "Hockey" Michael J. Kriston, B.C.E. 2001, married Gina Maria Orefice at Harkness Chapel of Connecticut College in New London, Conn. David J. Kriston, B.C.E. 2005, and Matthew E. Kriston, B.C.E. 2002, served in the wedding Party. Michael is the son of Charles. M Kriston, B.S.Ch.E. 1976, and Marian Jane Cowan Kriston, B.S.M.T. 1977. Michael and Gina reside in Durham, N.C.

Colleen Nugent Gugliotta, B.A. 1999, and husband, Ben, announce the birth of their second child, Sean Joseph, on May 1, 2009.  Sean joins his two-year-old sister, Kate.  The family lives in Owings Mills, Md.

Brother John M. Samaha, S.M., M.A. 1963, celebrated his 60th anniversary of profession of vows as a Marianist this summer. In retirement at the Marianist Center in Cupertino, Ca., he continues his enthusiasm for teaching by writing articles on religious topics for Catholic periodicals.

Wall Street Career Night Wows CUA

On Sept. 15, CUA welcomed more than 40 students and alumni to the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center for a panel discussion with Catholic University alums who work on Wall Street.

Catholic University Remembers Henry Gibson, B.A. 1957

The Catholic University of America mourns the passing of Henry Gibson, B.A. 1957. After serving as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Gibson became a familiar face as an original cast member of "Rowan & Martin's Laugh In." Gibson received a CUA Alumni Achievement Award in 1977, and his portrait hangs in the halls of CUA's Hartke Theatre in tribute to his comedic talent.
