Last month, CUA alumna Jennifer Underwood, B.A. 2003, paid a visit to the Governor's Mansion in Annapolis, Md., and shared her CUA pride with fellow Catholic University alumnus Governor Martin O'Malley, B.A. 1985.

Have you reconnected with fellow CUA alums or someone else of note in a far-out locale or a neighborhood near you? Let us know! Send your name, degree year, current address, and a photo of you and your CUA friends to cua-alumni@cua.edu.

Major League Baseball's opening day is less than three weeks away, so we thought it only fitting to honor America's pastime by dusting off this classic baseball snapshot from the CUA picture archives. Are you one of these pinstriped student athletes? To let us know if you are one of the alums in the picture above, click here.

Last month, J. Jerry LaCamera, B.A. 1975, won a free CUA T-shirt for correctly identifying himself as one of the "sticky situation" alums pictured in the March newsletter. The first three alums to identify themselves in this month's photo will receive a free CUA T-shirt of their own!

Mark your calendar now so that you can join friends and former classmates for Catholic University’s most exciting weekend of the year!  The 2009 Homecoming and Reunions Weekend will take place Oct. 23–24, 2009.

Did you graduate in 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999 or 2004? That makes you a member of our Reunions Classes!  Whether it is your 10th, 25th or 50th reunion, come back home to campus to relive your memories, reminisce with classmates, and create new stories to share with your families and friends.

Attendance at the festivities last year was great; we want it to get even bigger this year! But we can’t do that alone. Your fellow classmates want to hear from you, not only from the alumni office. Please consider being involved as a Homecoming and Reunions Committee member.

To sign up, contact Meghan Comey, associate director of alumni relations, or call 202-319-5608.

Weeks remain in the spring semester before the Class of 2009 takes their rightful place as the newest additions to CUA's 83,000+ living alumni. For complete Commencement details, click here.

CUA LOOKING TO RECONNECT WITH LOST ALUMS

Have you seen any of the following alumni?

Jacqualine Brooks, B.S.N. 1980
Bernadette Kerley, B.E.E. 1981
Philip Pestone, B.A. 1971

The Catholic University of America has nearly 6,000 alumni who are considered "lost." These alumni are currently not receiving alumni mailings because they have moved, have changed names or have never been found since the university began tracking its graduates.

To make sure your contact information is current, we invite you to visit www.CUAToday.com and take a moment to update your account. First-time visitors to the site will need to enter their security code (included in the e-mail copy of this newsletter). We hope that you'll encourage your friends to update their information, as well.

With your help, our entire network of alumni can stay in touch!

On Thursday, March 5, a team of CUA volunteers visited St. Anthony's School in Brookland to celebrate Read Across America 2009. To view pictures from this event or to browse the complete collection of CUA alumni photo archives, click here.

As a CUA student, Paul Lotz, B.S. 1992, spent hours in the classroom mastering the finer points of electromagnetics. After class, he was a regular fixture at a number of campus ministry service projects and events.

These days, you might say that "things are looking up" for this service-minded scientist.
This month's spotlight alumnus continues to work in lay ministry in his spare time, and he spends his days as the lead for the software design and development team of the new Discovery Channel Telescope at Lowell Observatory.
