Did you know that there are more than 2,600 "CUA Sweetheart" marriages? And that doesn't even include those countless other couples who found love while studying at CUA and have yet to tie the knot!
To celebrate these relationships, we're putting together a Wine With Your Valentine gathering. Whether you're a recent graduate or a golden anniversary alum, we're inviting you and your CUA sweetheart-turned-spouse or fiancé(e) back to campus for an afternoon wine and dessert reception on Sunday, Feb. 10. The cost for this event is $50 per couple.
For more information or to R.s.v.p. today, contact Brandon Romanchok in the Office of Alumni Relations at 202-319-5608. | | |

Join CUA students and fellow alums on March 3, 2008, at St. Anthony’s School, 12th and Monroe streets in Brookland (across from the Brookland-CUA Metro station, adjacent to Colonel Brooks’ Tavern).
Between 8:30 a.m. and noon, read your favorite Seuss book (or any book!) to a small student group and have a slice of birthday cake. To view photos from last year's event, click here.
We need readers! To participate, please call 202-319-5608.

"C.U." ON THE ROAD... TO FLORIDA!
Anticipating the dirty slush and bleak landscape of late winter, the alumni office is heading to Florida to gather alumni on the west coast, from Tampa to Naples. We're planning a theater evening and reception, a Red Sox spring training game, a luncheon and more!
Invitations will be mailed to all our alumni who reside in Florida but if you simply winter there, you're invited, too! If you haven't already let us know of your winter address, please email gosney@cua.edu and make sure to include your name, year and address so we can extend the invite your way.

Mark Kraus, Ph.D., earned his bachelor's degree in oceanography from CUA in 1979, and he's spent a career working in the field of wildlife preservation ever since.
"It's been my experience that very few people start out with a Bachelor's Degree and make a career out of what they wanted to do. I've been one of the fortunate few. Working in the field of wildlife preservation is exactly what I wanted to do when I came to Catholic University as a freshman."

Are you one of the alums trying to keep warm in the photo above? Last month, Alan King, B.A. 1984, and Tom Way, CUA 1980-1983, correctly identified themselves as the two alums busily unburying their snowbound VW Beetle, and won free CUA t-shirts for their efforts.
If you're one of the alums pictured in this month's Photo Flashback, let us know and we'll send you a free CUA T-shirt! Simply click here to identify yourself.
