CUA ALUMNAE RECONNECT AFTER 20 YEARS
 |
In June of this year, three former CUA roommates reconnected in the nation's capital and on the campus of their alma mater. After touring the CUA campus (and having a quick drink at the nearby Colonel Brooks' Tavern), (left to right) Elizabeth Starrett Stover, B.A. 1983; Ellen Becker Tabor, B.S. 1983; and Carolyn Neste, B.S.N. 1984, took a break from their sightseeing and stopped for a bite to eat at Clyde's in Georgetown.
Have you caught up with some old friends or former classmates? Send in a photo of your get-togethers and let us know where and when you reconnected! Click here to submit your photo. |

The CUA Cardinals men's and women's basketball seasons kicked off last Friday as both squads hit the road to compete in the inaugural year of the NCAAA Landmark Conference. Steve Howes, B.A. 1996, is the head coach of the men's team, and the women's team is coached by Margaret Carey, and one of her assistant coaches is Jackie DeBorger, B.A. 2001. Come watch the next generation of Cardinals take "flight" under their alumni mentors, as they look to continue the winning tradition of CUA Basketball.

Very Reverend David M. Are you living "far out" on the West Coast? Perhaps you're reading this newsletter from somewhere north or south of the U.S. borders — or beyond?
In September, we began a search for globe-trotting alums to let us know just how "far out" from CUA they are these days. We've heard from alums in more than two dozen countries, and so we've decided to extend our worldwide search for an additional month to see just how "far out" our alumni really are!
Are you a long way from "home?" Farther away than, say, Fiji? Let us know! Send your name, degree year, and current address to cua-alumni@cua.edu. |

Josie Swantek, B.A. 2000, has parlayed her dual degree in media studies and drama into a career behind the camera as a writer, producer, and director all over the world. So much so, in fact, that to call this alumna's job an "adventure" might even be something of an understatement!
To learn more about Josie and her recent involvement with an award-winning documentary that's wowed critics and audiences the world over, click here.

CALLING ALL CUA SNOWBIRDS!
Do you head south to escape the howling winter wind, returning to New England or one of the northern states just in time for spring? The alumni office is tired of sleet and icy streets, too, and thought we’d plan some events along the west coast of Florida during the first week of March 2008.
Please give the alumni office a call (800-288-ALUM or 202-318-5608 in the D.C. area) or e-mail Gosney@cua.edu and let us know where you winter, when you head south and your home or e-mail address where we can send you an invitation during the next few months! | |

Are you one of the young Jedi-in-training in this month's Photo Flashback? If so, we'll send you a free CUA T-shirt! Simply click here to let us know if you are one of the alums in the picture above!
