Your save-the-date card is in the mail! Homecoming and Reunions Weekend, Oct. 19–20, 2007 is only 6 months away and we'd love to have your help. Come join the Homecoming & Reunions Committee. Help spread the word about the weekend and join in the fun!

Attendance at the festivities last year was our largest in recent history, and we want it to get even bigger this year! However, we can’t do that alone. CARDINALS DINNER GALA RAISES $1.2 MILLION FOR CUA

The 18th American Cardinals Dinner, held April 27 in Las Vegas, raised $1.2 million for student scholar-ships for The Catholic University of America. Five of America’s Catholic cardinals and about 500 guests attended the gala at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Interested in hosting a lunch to tell fellow alums about your business or company? The CUA Executive Network Luncheon series presents successful CUA alumni who are at the forefront of companies helping to shape the D.C. area. 

Share Your Talents with CUA's Students


CUA students meet the most interesting people. Alumni and friends continue to visit the school to meet with students in various forums from special alumni events to career fairs. Here are a few recent visitors:

  • David Paterson, B.A. 1989, hosted a screening of his film, Bridge to Terabithia, for CUA alumni and students.
  • Adrian Fenty, mayor of Washington, D.C., came to campus at the invitation of the College Democrats to discuss new legislation, initiatives and job opportunities in the District of Columbia.
  • Joseph Hall, B.A. 1988, VP Investment Services, Goldman Sachs, headlined a panel for the juniors interested in pursuing a career in business.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS FAST APPROACHING!

From Nov. 29 to Dec. 4, Frank Persico, B.A. 1974, M.A. 1976, CUA vice president for university relations and chief of staff and former director of alumni relations, will lead a CUA alumni tour through the shops, pubs and sights of Ireland. Kiss the world-famous Blarney Stone, see the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher, feast at a medieval dinner, and more!

On Sunday, June 24, from 5 to 7 p.m., the CUA School of Library and Information Science invites all SLIS alumni to attend a special reception at Clyde's Restaurant of Gallery Place (Red line, Gallery Place/Chinatown). For complete details, click here.



In April of 2003, 
Captain Patrick Koucheravy, B.A. 2003, was preparing to defend his senior thesis in CUA’s Department of Business and Economics. Three months later, Koucheravy found himself in basic training with the United States Army, preparing to defend his country on the front lines in Iraq and Afghanistan as a member of the Airborne Rangers.
